The Wheeling-Ohio County Board of Health approved new fees for environmental health permits and services, effective July 1, 2024. The new fees, including new permit categories are new and renewal permits and services.
Renewal permit applications will be mailed out this week for permits that will renew starting on July 1, 2024. These include:
- Campgrounds
- Food Services (Establishments, Retail, Mobile, Vending, Temporary, Portable, Statewide)
- Hotel/Motel
- Organized Camps
- Care Facilities
- Schools
- Bed & Breakfast Facilities
New permit categories include:
Portable Food Service Operations. This is an operation that is portable by means of an approved set up which may include tent, tables, or other non-mechanical operation but does comply with State Health Department’s “Food Establishments” legislative rule, 64CSR17, based on the menu of food items provided. This is an Ohio County only permit.
Temporary Tattoo Studio. This is a single building structure, special event area, or location permit where a tattooist performs tattooing for a maximum of 14 consecutive days.
